Recently Auctioned on eBay- Chair From the Hofbräuhaus- Boy I Wish the Seller Shipped to Canada

Recently on eBay a chair from the Hofbräuhaus was auctioned. Unfortunately the seller wouldn't ship to Canada, or I would have tried to buy it for sure. It went for an unbelievably low price. I imagine the shipping would have been quite high though. You can see from the two pictures that were in the listing that the chair has a lot of character and would pretty cool in any mancave or bar area.

  1. I know this is ancient but do you remember how much it went for? I'm searching for one those chairs to go with my table set. I dont have a clue what a realist price to pay would be

  2. I recently was given 2 chairs. 1 has the crown and HB the other style the same way except it is upholster in the seat and back. I've looked with no luck for the value of each one.

  4. I have a nice early Chair From the Hofbräuhaus , it is all wood and assembles by pegs that hold it all together no glue , nails , etc , it was brought to the US by a WW2 Vet

  5. I have one of these chairs and it has a military sticker on the bottom. It looks basically the same with the lions, crown, circle cutout etc but the initials say JM’ instead of HB?

    1. Mine also assembled with no glue, nails, etc. it has slots where the wood is cut like a tongue and grove almost, not really sure the proper name as it’s only one rectangular ‘peg’ under each arm slat where the arm attaches to the base.
